Welcome to MSUM Anime Club! We are a group of anime loving, manga reading, JRPG playing, chibi drawing, AMV creating, Japanese culture enthusiasts.
We meet Thursdays in CMU Room 203 from 5pm to 10pm, where we watch 2 episodes a piece of 3 anime we finish over the course of the semester. Come down to the CMU and join the fun!
Throughout the year we have special events, themed viewings and parties. A big facet of MSUM Anime Club is the club sponsored trip for members to Anime Detour, an anime convention held in the spring in Minneapolis, each year.

The Dungeons & Dragons roleplaying game is about storytelling in worlds of sword and sorcery. It shares elements with childhood games of make-believe. Like those games, D&D is driven by imagination. It’s about picturing the towering castle beneath the stormy night sky and imagining how a fantasy adventurer might react to the challenges that scene presents.

Unlike a game of make-believe, D&D provides structure to the stories, a way of determining the consequences of the adventurers’ action. Players roll dice to resolve whether their attacks hit or miss or whether their adventurers can scale a cliff, roll away from the strike of a magical lightning bolt, or pull off some other dangerous task. Anything is possible, but the dice make some outcomes more probable than others.

In the Dungeons & Dragons game, each player creates an adventurer (also called a character) and teams up with other adventurers (played by friends). Working together, the group might explore a dark dungeon, a ruined city, a haunted castle, a lost temple deep in a jungle, or a lava-filled cavern beneath a mysterious mountain. The adventurers can solve puzzles, talk with other characters, battle fantastic monsters, and discover fabulous magic items and other treasure.

By providing these materials, we hope to foster a greater community amongst members and lessen the financial barriers to playing roleplaying games for all. This organization prioritizes student involvement, community engagement, and personal/academic growth. The organization strives to build meaningful connections across campus and throughout the Fargo–Moorhead community.

Membership in NSSLHA/Collegiate SERTOMA is open to all MSUM students and offers a wide range of valuable experiences. Members become part of a welcoming and active community that participates in many community events, including local organizations like Place for Hope Food Pantry, the TNT Autism Support Group’s Open Gym, The Arc West Central Region, and the Fargo/Moorhead SERTOMA Club through annual events such as Signing Santa and the Community Flag Program.
Students benefit from regular meetings, opportunities to learn more about communication-related fields, and opportunities for advocacy. Members may vote in elections, hold officer positions, and participate in organizational decision-making.
