Welcome to MSUM Anime Club! We are a group of anime loving, manga reading, JRPG playing, chibi drawing, AMV creating, Japanese culture enthusiasts.
We meet Thursdays in CMU Room 203 from 5pm to 10pm, where we watch 2 episodes a piece of 3 anime we finish over the course of the semester. Come down to the CMU and join the fun!
Throughout the year we have special events, themed viewings and parties. A big facet of MSUM Anime Club is the club sponsored trip for members to Anime Detour, an anime convention held in the spring in Minneapolis, each year.

With coffee and snacks readily available, it’s the perfect spot for a study group. Use a meeting room for your student organization any night of the week. MSUM Counseling Services offers short-term in-person, phone or virtual appointments that are HIPAA compliant. MSUM Counseling Services helps students explore personal or academic concerns, makes referrals, and serves as a consultant for faculty and staff. We offer free and confidential  mental health, alcohol and drug, sexual assault, and violence counseling. MSUM Counseling Services fully supports Safe Space on campus. We pledge to be confidential, non-judgmental, and supportive contacts for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning, intersex or asexual (LGBTQIA) members of the MSU Moorhead community.

The Dungeons & Dragons roleplaying game is about storytelling in worlds of sword and sorcery. It shares elements with childhood games of make-believe. Like those games, D&D is driven by imagination. It’s about picturing the towering castle beneath the stormy night sky and imagining how a fantasy adventurer might react to the challenges that scene presents.

Unlike a game of make-believe, D&D provides structure to the stories, a way of determining the consequences of the adventurers’ action. Players roll dice to resolve whether their attacks hit or miss or whether their adventurers can scale a cliff, roll away from the strike of a magical lightning bolt, or pull off some other dangerous task. Anything is possible, but the dice make some outcomes more probable than others.

In the Dungeons & Dragons game, each player creates an adventurer (also called a character) and teams up with other adventurers (played by friends). Working together, the group might explore a dark dungeon, a ruined city, a haunted castle, a lost temple deep in a jungle, or a lava-filled cavern beneath a mysterious mountain. The adventurers can solve puzzles, talk with other characters, battle fantastic monsters, and discover fabulous magic items and other treasure.

By providing these materials, we hope to foster a greater community amongst members and lessen the financial barriers to playing roleplaying games for all.
